The Vintage Booster.A MosFet Booster with an attitude!
Mosfet BoosterHere is the completed Mosfet Boost from the photo-essay. Great sounding clean booster and a worthwhile build.
FAT BoosteredThis circuit here is a Must Build for the DIY'r. A Fabulous sounding pedal providing some nice mild OD and it can get real FAT sounding!
The Guts of the FAT Boostered.Although it is thought of as Old School DIY, this thing should be revived for those seeking a dirty booster with great tone!
Orange SqueezerSome experimenting with the lettering on this one - an attempt at giving the lettering a bit more "character".
Orange Sqeezerunder the hood.
The Folk Fuzz.......on it's way to completion.I added the pirate to the design after seeing the new "Pirates" movie!
The "Round-Up!"A Compressor for Country Music! Modded Dynaclone circuit from tonepad.
Pre-AmpInside this Highly Polished enclosure is a variation of the now Famous National-Semi circuit and known to many as the Mini-Booster. Great tone from this one!!
FuzzerellaCompleted! I've been experimenting with some fancier graphics for etching.....she's well known to me and is etched into eternity now!
Flatline CompressorAn optical comp like the DOD but, with a feel and sound all it's own. Standard Etch using the same method shown in the Tutorial.
Red LlamaCircuit is built from the layout at gaussmarkov: diy fx....check out his site, it is Excellent! This is a "Reverse-Etch". Opposite of what is shown in the Tutorial. Neat looking but, ALOT of work.
BlackCat OverdriveFormer Freddie Fuzz clone from Michael Allen's NOISE site. Check out his site it has some really cool layouts! The BlackCat has a tone all it's own.
DOD 280a CompressorOne of the first "reverse etch" enclosures I ever made.
Chrome Orange SqueezerVery nice sounding Compressor! A DIY favorite! This enclosure was sanded out with 600/1000/1500/2000 sandpaper and buffed to a High Gloss finish. Looks just like the Chrome on a Harley!
SparkleBoostThis pedal has to be one of the Best DIY projects out there! Easy build and FANTASTIC tone!! Thanks to Dragonfly for this one.
AD3208Here's one of the my most FAVORITE builds! and......my very first etched enclosure. Circuit is the AD3208 from GGG and is by far my Favorite Delay. It's big though, the "Cadillac of Analog Delays"!!
Echo-Matic.....which is REALLY the TonePad Rebote 2.5. Great Delay with a warm analog-type sound. I still can't beleive I got it to fit inside this 1590B but, here's the proof. Very tight inside though!
EA Tremolo BuildClose-up side view of the completed Tremelo. This one spent less than 3 minutes in the actual etchant with only one rinse in-between.
EA Tremolo BuildAssembled and working like a charm. This is my favorite Trem circuit. I changed the volume control to a trim pot mounted on the PCB to rid the Unit of an unnecessary pot.
Group PhotoThese Builds were all etched using PnP Blue/paint technique as seen in the photoessay.
OD-250 BuildMy favorite OD, Great Tone. Another example of a reverse etch. Lettering and sides are very highly polished with semi-gloss black used to fill the etched area. Looks Cool but is much more work than the standard method.
The EH Small Cloneproject from Tonepad.com. This was an experiment with etching graphics and different use of color. Both color
